Betty Lou (Hildreth) Krenzien
Betty Lou (Hildreth) Krenzien, 81, passed from this mortal life to a life everlasting December 7, 2009 in Deer Park, Texas. She was a resident at the San Jacinto Manor Nursing Home, a five-minute drive from her daughter Kathi’s residence. She was very well cared for there and was greatly loved by all the staff and residents. She was born November 23, 1928, in rural Antelope County, Nebraska, the first child of Ivan P. Hildreth Sr., and Juanita Mason. She attended various schools in Northeastern Nebraska, graduating from Neligh High School and later from Wayne State Teachers College in Wayne, Nebraska. She was a school teacher of the Elementary Grades and taught in schools in Nebraska, New Mexico and Texas. After the death of her husband, Delbert Krenzien, in Farmington, New Mexico, she relocated to Del Rio with her three small children and was one of the first teachers employed at St. James Episcopal school and later became Principal of this school, where she served for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sister, Kathryn Blair of Brunswick, Nebraska, and brother, Ivan P. Hildreth, Jr., of Neligh, Nebraska. She is survived by her three children, Scott (Anna) of Flower Mound, Texas; Kathi (Ralph) Coats of Deer Park, Texas; and Kristi (Dale) Love of Eunice, La.; two brothers, Dean (Mildred) Hildreth and Kenneth (Jeanette) Hildreth, of Del Rio, Texas; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins.
A memorial service will be held December 19 at 10 am at the Golden Acre United Methodist Church in Pasadena, Texas. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson Research Foundation or the charity of your choice.
