Rebecca R. Barrera
Rebecca R. Barrera, 53, entered eternal rest November 4, 2009 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born February 27, 1956 in Laredo, Texas.
She is survived by her husband Jesus Barrera of San Antonio, Texas; daughters: Jessica H. Barrera of Del Rio and Becky M. Barrera and her husband Francisco Martinez II of Richmond, Texas; son: Jesus S. Barrera Jr., of San Antonio, Texas; parents: Salomon and Hilda Riojas of Del Rio, Texas; sister: Sylvia Cyprian and her husband Robert of Del Rio, Texas; brother: Ruben Riojas and his wife Rita of Del Rio, Texas; grandchildren: Francisco J. Martinez III, Nevaeh M. Barrera, Kenneth R. Alexander and Julie M. Martinez; and several other nieces and nephews survive her; also “Chico”.
The family wishes to “thank” their cousin Dr. Jaime Gutierrez, Hospice of Del Rio, Nurses Station #4 Val Verde Regional Medical Center and Dr. James Mark and staff of San Antonio for their overwhelming care and love of Rebecca throughout her illness.
In lieu of usual remembrances, memorials can be made to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center for Ovarian Cancer Research, P.O. Box 297153, Houston, Texas 77292-0153.
Visitation was Thursday, 3-9:00P.M, November 5, 2009 with a Rosary vigil at 7:00P.M. Funeral service Friday, 10:30 A.M, November 6, 2009 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Del Rio, Texas, followed with interment at San Felipe Cemetery.
