Mr. German Rodriguez Munoz II and Mrs. Maria Elena Rodriguez Sanchez of Del Rio, Tx are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Irene Rodriguez Sanchez, to Derrick Anthony Ramirez, son of Mr. Charles and Rachel Ramirez of Plano, Texas

Laura is the granddaughter of the late German Rodriguez Rodriguez I and the late Amparo Munoz de Rodriguez of Allende Coah. Mx. The late Jose Heriberto Sanchez Fernandez and the late Eloisa Fuentez de Sanchez of Zaragoza Coah. Mx

Derrick is the grandson of the late Robert Benitez and Juana Rodriguez Benitez of Pleasanton, TX The Late Jesus Ramirez and Celia Ramirez of Poteet, TX

Laura and Derrick first met summer of 2003 in Plano, Texas while in College, and have been dating ever since.

Laura is a 2003 Alumni of Del Rio High School and a Graduate of Collin College. She is continuing her higher education in Dallas, Texas and currently employed as a High School teacher at Faith Christian Academy in McKinney, Texas.

Derrick is a 2002 Alumni of Plano Senior High and a Graduate of Collin College with a major in Commercial Music and Arts degree with a Certification in Audio Engineering.

Derrick proposed with a Tiffany&Co. diamond ring on a weekend outing while visiting The Gaylord Resorts ICE exhibit in Grapevine, Texas

The religious ceremony and reception are planned for spring 2010.

The Couple plans to reside in North Texas
