Israel J. Portillo
Israel J. Portillo, age 69, entered into rest on February 1, 2010, in Del Rio, Texas. He was born May 12, 1940 in Musquiz, Coah, Mexico. He retired from San Felipe Del Rio CISD after 17 years of dedicated service. He was preceded in death by parents, Manuel and Maria de Jesus Portillo.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 44 years, Sonia Portillo, Sons: Sergio Portillo and wife Agatha Portillo, Cesar Portillo and wife Claudia Portillo, Daughters: Sonia Garcia and husband Jose Mario Garcia, Liliana Rodriguez and husband John Rodriguez. Grandchildren: Jose Maria Garcia, Andres Portillo, Edgar Garcia, Raquel Portillo, Ariana Rodriguez, Alyssa Portillo. Numerous brothers and sisters and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2010, 5:00pm-9:00pm, Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 10:00a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church,Fr. Jim Fishchler, CICM, officiating.
