Refugio Martinez
Refugio Martinez, age 86, entered into rest on November 25, 2009, in Del Rio, Texas. He was born April 27, 1923 in Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his parents Natividad Martinez and Juliana Talamantez Martinez; brother David Martinez; sisters Micaela Martinez, Aramita Martinez and Juanita Martinez.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons: Homero Martinez and wife Ester, Natividad Martinez and wife Maria, Baldemar Martinez and wife Herlinda; daughters: Ludivina Martinez, Refugia Salazar, Estela Valdez and husband Honorio; brother Encarnacion Martinez and sister Maria Aleman. Also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Gentlemen left with the honor of pallbearers: Refugio Martinez, Eric Martinez, Alex Salazar, Javier Valdez, Carlos Martinez, Baldemar Martinez, Jr.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 30, 2009, 3:00pm-9:00pm, Brackettville Sunset Funeral Home, Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2009, 10:00 a.m., St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.
Interment to follow at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery.
