Arcadio “Al” H. Sosa
Arcadio “Al” H. Sosa, age 88, entered into rest March 7, 2010 in Del Rio, Texas. He was born January 12, 1922 in Del Rio, Texas. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a WWII Veteran. He retired as an Accountant from Civil Service at Laughlin AFB, Tx. He was preceded in death by his parents Severiano and Dolores Sosa, sister Trinidad S. Garcia, and his grandnephew, Raymond E. Garcia.
Left to cherish his memory are his nephews Robert S. Garcia and Alfredo S. Garcia, niece Rosemary and husband Jim Capozziello; grandnephews/nieces Alfred Garcia, Robert and wife Tess Garcia, Christian Garcia, Anjie and husband Paul Scheuren, and Monica Capozziello; and great-grandnephew/niece Nathan and Isabella Garcia.
He loved playing his guitar, reading and meeting friends for coffee. He will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2010, 5:00pm-9:00pm, Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, Chapel of Remembrance. Recitation of the Holy Rosary 7:00pm.
Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2010, 10:00am, St Joseph Catholic Church.
Military Honors will be conducted by United States Army and American Legion Post #595.
Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Joe Jimenez, Frank Martinez, Arturo Martinez, Tony Martinez, Tony Sosa, Tony Saldaña.
Honorary: Chente Frutoz, Gilberto Sosa and Mike Sosa.
