Jack Hovis Shely, 89, entered eternal rest on December 22, 2009 in Del Rio, Texas.

He was born July 6, 1920 in Marathon, Texas.

He is survived by his wife: Bobbie L. Shely of Del Rio, TX; daughter: Hettie Neighbors and her husband Jerry of Del Rio, TX; granddaughter Julie Neighbors and grandson Quinn of San Antonio, TX; son Jack D. Shely and family of San Angelo, TX; sister: Pat Martin and husband Biddy of Marathon, TX. Also, survived by numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Jack was a lifelong Rancher and operated in Marathon, TX, Hope, N. M, and Del Rio, TX.

Graveside service on Wednesday, 4:00P.M, December 23, 2009 in Marathon Cemetery, Marathon, Texas.
