In the Wednesday edition (Sept. 9, 2020) of the Del Rio News-Herald I read a very well-written article by staff writer Brian Argabright titled “God does not really care who you vote for.” It was very insightful, especially from someone who identifies as “not a religious person.”

In fact, as a religious person myself who has spent a long time examining and discerning politics worldwide, I agree with a lot of what he wrote. Christians have, for a long time, confused the titles “Christian” and “Republican” with each other, which is absolutely a terrible deception and mistake. On top of that, many Christians publicly ridicule and label the “anti-Trump” supporters as misguided evildoers that want to kill babies. Let me tell you, that will surely win them for Christ!

In 2 Timothy, Trump is described in precise detail. and Christians are told to turn away from such people. You can search the scriptures to find an excuse to vote for Trump. You can create convoluted arguments to help you feel good about voting for Trump. But you can't change 2 Timothy.
