Ann Elizabeth Abbett passed away Thursday, August 29, 2019, in Huntsville, Alabama. Ann was born in Del Rio, Texas on April 15, 1958 to Claire Elizabeth Stanley and James Preston Abbett. She graduated from Del Rio High School, and received her BA in History from Texas A&M University. Ann became certified to teach and earned a MA in History from Sul Ross University.

Stanley F. Frohlich Jr., 86, of Sparta, WI and formerly of Brackettville, TX, died on Thursday, September 05, 2019, at Rolling Hills Rehabilitation Center, Sparta. He was born on July 15, 1933 to Stanley Sr. and Melvina Walliser in Selfridge, North Dakota.

Earlene Malone Bolner passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on August 18th, 2019 on a warm and sunny day in Alpine, Texas. She was born in the family home on Main Street November 18, 1931 to Benjamin Earl and Ora Malone in Del Rio Texas. Raised at the ranch on the banks of the Pecos River, she spent her childhood with her favorite horse “Sherbert”, several well loved barn cats, and a love for all things in the families cowboy tradition. She graduated from Del Rio High School in 1949 where she was a drum major and a twirler. On February 12, 1950 she was united in marriage to Victor Daniel Bolner and they were married for 59 years. Together they had four children that were the center of their life and marriage as they developed their homestead on San Felipe Creek in Del Rio.
Hector “Tito” Manuel Zuniga, age 69, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 in Del Rio, Texas. He was born on January 14, 1950 in Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Genoveva Zuniga and his brother Jessie Zuniga. He is also survived by his biological parents Manuel Varela and Esther Cardona Varela.
Pura Concepcion Salazar, age 79, was greeted by her heavenly creator on August 25, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born December 8, 1939 in Cd. Acuna Coahuila Mexico to Cruz and Avelina Jimenez. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Deacon Filomeno A. Salazar, Jr. Daughters Juanita and Pura Salazar, parents Cruz and Avelina Jimenez, sisters Beatrice Garcia and Maria Del Carmen Salazar, her brother Jose Angel Jimenez.

Guadalupe “Lupe” DeHoyos, age 82, lovingly known as “Coach, Mr. D” went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 22, 2019; he was surrounded by family and passed peacefully in the comfort of his own home. Lupe was a native Del Rioan with the passion for his hometown, especially for his querido barrio of San Felipe. Lupe was born on March 18, 1937 to Ramon and Maria C. DeHoyos.

Soledad Hernandez Montalvo of Chistoval, TX, born in Del Rio, Tx on April 19, 1921, was called home to be with our Lord on July 26, 2019. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family at the healthy age of 98.
Maria Del Carmen Herrera, age 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at the Val Verde Regional Medical Center in Del Rio, Texas. She was born on July 16, 1935. She was married to Manuel C. Herrera on April 29, 1956 in Del Rio, Tx. Maria Del Carmen lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family and spending time with her grandchildren and she loved to go to Bingo. Maria Del Carmen had a uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way.
