Protesters from a Houston-based child-advocacy group were in Del Rio Monday, to observe the sentencing of a former Del Rio teacher who earlier pleaded guilty to trying to have an improper relationship with a student.

Four members of Justice For Children sat in the second-floor courtroom in the Val Verde County Judicial Center during Monday’s sentencing of Isaac Lee Aldaco, a former Del Rio music teacher who worked at both the Del Rio High School and the Dr. Lonnie Green Elementary School.
