Class of 2019 graduates celebrate the momentous occasion with their family and friends by displaying the diploma they received from Heritage Academy at the commencement ceremony on June 1 at the Paul Poag Theatre.

Not all students walk through the San Felipe Del Rio CISD classrooms, but that does not deter seniors from graduating at their own campus. One academy celebrated its graduating class in the Paul Poag Theatre this past weekend.

Heritage Academy held their commencement ceremony on June 1 at the Paul Poag Theatre. Family and friends entered the building before the ceremony began at 6 p.m.

As guests walked in, they were greeted with a collage of senior portraits for each graduate wearing their cap and gown. Before graduates took the stage, they celebrated the end of the year with the Heritage Academy Fun Day.

Fun Day allowed the seniors to enjoy their last moments as a class together. Before ending their year, the Class of 2019 was also given the opportunity to be featured on live television as part of the Fishing University program “Important of Great Education and Careers in the Outdoors.”

The episode was featured on the Outdoor Channel, the Sportsman Channel and World Fishing Network in all 50 states and 51 other countries. Graduates were given the opportunity to speak with co-hosts of the show Charlie Ingram and Ray Brazier.
