Val Verde County Commissioners Court

Seventeen families who saw financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic got some much-needed assistance over the past week.

Members of Val Verde County Commissioners Court on Wednesday heard a report on the emergency services being offered to residents of the county’s colonias, which are defined by the state as “residential subdivisions, usually in unincorporated areas of a county, lacking all or some of the basic services, such as water and sewer, paved roads, electricity, drainage, etc.”
