FOOTBALL MEETING

The Del Rio Rams football coaches will hold a parents meeting Thursday at 6 p.m. in the Del Rio High School cafeteria. All parents and players in the program are encouraged to attend.

VOLLEYBALL TRYOUTS

The Del Rio Queens volleyball program will conclude its tryouts and select teams for varsity, junior varsity and freshmen teams today. The teams will scrimmage in Eagle Pass Friday and again Saturday morning at the Carl P. Guys Memorial Gymnasium.

NOCHES MUSICALES

The Casa de la Cultura, 302 Cantu St., presents Noches Musicales, a Summer concert series, featuring live music by The Mooncaps, Friday from 8:30 to 11 p.m. at Brown Plaza. This is a free event. There will be food vendors and fans should bring their own chairs and favorite beverages.

BACK TO SCHOOL HEALTH FAIR

The 12th Annual Del Rio Back to School Health Fair will be held Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Del Rio Civic Center. Backpacks will be provided to the first 1,000 school age kids. There will also be limited free sports physicals as well as limited oral screenings. Door prizes and free hair cuts for kids.

TOWN HALL WITH BETO O’ROURKE

There will be a town hall with Congressman Beto O’Rourke Saturday, Aug. 4, at 5:30 p.m. at the Plaza Hall, 405 Cantu St. O’Rourke is challenging Ted Cruz for the US Senate this November.

MARKET AT THE MUSEUM

The Del Rio Main Street Program presents Market at the Museum Saturday, Aug. 4, from 5 to 6 p.m., at the Whitehead Memorial Museum, 1308 S. Main St. Free admission. There will be plenty of vendors for all kinds of interested shoppers. All proceeds benefit the Del Rio Main Street Program.
