Happy Anniversary

Gene Harvey Nerren and Jo Ann Ricks Nerren celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a dinner/dance at the Corpus Christi Yacht Club hosted by the New Neighbors League of Corpus Christi, Texas. The theme was Diamonds on the Bay.

Gene worked for Brookshire Brothers Grocery in Lufkin for 38 years and was Chief Financial Officer. Jo Ann owned and managed Nerren Employment Service for 30 years. Gene and Jo Ann love to travel. They visited all 50 states and 14 countries before moving to Corpus Christi, Texas, three years ago to be near their son and family, Matthew and Toni Nerren.

Gene and Jo Ann have three children, Michael and Barbara Nerren

of Heath, Texas, Marilyn Kay and Richard Troth of Grove City, Ohio, Matthew and Toni Nerren of Corpus Christi, Texas. They have five grandchildren, Misty Cullum of Marlow, Oklahoma, Michelle Troth of Grove City, Martin Troth of Grove City, Nia Nerren of Corpus Christi, Texas and Nyla Nerren of Corpus Christi, Texas. One great grandchild, Katelyn Cullum of Marlow, Oklahoma.

Those in attendance, along with their children were long time RV friends, Orlando and Piper Morgan of Conroe, Texas, Richard and Rita Ashby of Houston, Texas, who have also celebrated with them for their 50th anniversary in Costa Rica and their 55th anniversary in Lufkin. Nephew and wife, Joe and Ernestine Ricks of Del Rio, Texas and niece, Phyllis Ricks of Kerrville, Texas. Kenneth and Margaret Ricks, Jo Ann’s brother, who was best man at their wedding in Del Rio, Texas on September 3, 1955
