TODAY

• The Business After Hours Mixer will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. The mixer will be hosted by the San Felipe Country Club. There will be door prizes and cash drawing of $1,100. All members and prospective members are welcome. Come and enjoy the refreshment and have a great time.

• Lamar Elementary will be hosting the PTO for the month today at 6:30 p.m. at the Lamar Cafeteria. 4th grade will be presenting.

• Del Rio Bobcat Alumni Mixer/ Meeting today at 6:30 p.m. Don Marcelino’s Restaurant Veterans and 10th Street.

• Community Pep Rally at Ram Stadium today at 6:30 p.m. Wear your blue, so we can “Blue -out” the competition. Come cheer the Rams into the second round of playoffs against the Edinburg Bobcats in San Antonio.

• Friends of Val Verde County Library is having a welcome party for the new librarian, Christopher Keuchmann, today from 4-6:30 p.m. at the library, 300 Spring St. Join us for coffee, punch and cake.

SATURDAY

• Curves, 302 Margaret Lane, is offering a FREE Weight Management Class Nov. 21 at 9 am, a Special Topic Class begins at 10:30 and follows with Phase III session at 11:00. For more information, please call 778-2100.

• The Del Rio Art League rescheduled its monthly meeting at the Firehouse Art Center at 120 E Garfield at 7 p.m. on Nov. 23. After a brief business meeting, we will see a DVD by David Dunlop on Painting through the Ages presented by Gloria Fernandez. Everyone is welcome. Refreshments will be served.

• TSTA Get-Together on Dec. 3 at Sirloin Stockade at 5 p.m. (Dutch Treat).

• The Casa de la Cultura invites all artist to participate in an art exhibit in honor of Our Virgen de Guadalupe. The exhibit, part of the HeArt of Del Rio First Friday Art Walk series, opens on December 4. Please bring your new original paintings, drawings, sculptures, pottery, needlework, quilts, poetry, etc. based on the theme of Our Virgen de Guadalupe to the Casa de la Cultura on/or before Dec. 2.
